We were looking for a local experience. No frills. And we found it! Very simple eatery, obviously family run. Mom’s serving you dinner. If you’re in downtown Madrid and looking for something unique, this is it. Every dish screamed home cooking and was pure comfort food.

Amazing place with a soul and great food! Pictures instead of menu are an amazing idea (and a lot of fun) and the owner is really kind and knowledgeable. The food is delicious - I really loved the vegetables (asparagus and artichokes), which were super soft and had so much taste squeezed in!

The owner is really friendly and kind. The sea food here is also very delicious and really popular in local people. Since I don’t know the language, they even provide the small cards with photos for each food.

Best taste food! I saw a TV program with O' Curruncho yesterday. The chef Roberto Fernández was on the program for a few seconds. We enjoyed our dining very much!!!

Yesterday I went for the first time to this charming restaurant and it was amazing experience. The owner is a lady with so much charm and energy that immediately feels like home. She will take your orders and tell you what to order. She has good sense of humor. Every dish we order was extraordinary. I heard that the mother of lady owner (abuela) is helping in kitchen, and if that’s true then that’s the reason why is so so delicious. Every dish feels like it was made by all love of abuela. We order Zamburinas, alcachofas, chipirones a la plancha y rodaballo (I think). The place is small and not fency (like you grandma house) but everyone is serving you with so much love. And food is better than many top restaurants I have been. I absolutely loved this place and I’m planning to bring so many of my friends here

A cozy local restaurant with great service and fresh seafood. One of the servers could speak enough English to help us make the order. You can also show them pictures. The food was fresh and wines were great, light salt; only slightly disappointed on the razor shell dish because of the sand was not completely cleaned

Had the best meal here in Madrid so far in my 2 weeks of travel in Spain. All the dishes were great and can tell the quality and freahness of the food and cooked with heart. We went in a little too early without reservation but the owner was friendly and ushered us in. There’re no English menu but instead she has a deck of cards with pictures of the food in English and the price. Place is conveniently located just behind main shopping belt of Gran Vis too. Price is reasonable given the portion and the food quality.

Cozy, local restaurant with great food! The owner is very nice and gets very engaged to help customers order the right thing based on what they like. They have cute image cards if you don't speak Spanish to help you order. A unique place!
